Molly was a founding member of the University United Methodist Church. Her love for the students and strong support of the vision and guiding principles of the Wesley Foundation motivated he life long activity as a leader and supporter of the Foundation and the Church. During the 60 years that Molly lived in Gainesville, she was a consistent and dedicated volunteer to many causes she felt strongly toward. She was a "Pink Lady" at Alachua General Hospital for many years, a member and past president of the Altrusa Club, a member and past president of the League of Women Voters and a member and past president of the University Women's Club. She balanced her community life with family and self. She was an avid bridge player, playing bridge in a variety of clubs throughout her 60 years in Gainesville. Rarely without a book at her side, she participated in her Wednesday night study group her entire adult life in Gainesville. She loved nothing better than a week at the beach or, as an ardent Gator fan, going to the O'Connell Center to watch Gator basketball. This balanced life sustained a solid foundation of optimism and cheerfulness that was often a source of comfort and guidance to those who depended on her and those who knew her.
